The Utah Department of Corrections is looking for a Boiler Specialist to work in their Gunnison, Utah correctional facility.
The Boiler Specialist will perform the following:
Enforcing security regulations.
Provide training and supervision of inmates in Boiler Operations at a prison facility.
Skilled in a vocation and able to use related tools and/or equipment proficiently.
Inmates are helped to become team oriented with the goal to enable them to succeed outside of the prison environment.
Successful candidates will possess:
Experience installing and maintaining high and low pressure steam, condensate and hydroid heating piping.
Experience operating and maintaining high pressure steam boilers.
Experience installing high and low pressure steam traps.
Experience operating and maintaining low pressure and hydronic boilers.
Experience maintaining shell and tube, plate and frame heat exchange.
This job is NOT public safety certified, and does not require peace officer status or certification.
Preference may be given to those applicants that currently work for the Utah Department of Corrections.
