Job Description:


This position provides leadership and assumes continuing and substantial responsibility for the direction and evaluation of integrated nursing programs that cross service and disciplines and influence division's organizational mission, vision, values and strategic priorities.
Primary Duties andResponsibilities

  • Assists with reviewing Corporate Health Services policies and procedures.
  • Assists with reviewing facility nursing operation procedures.
  • Participates in developing, implementing and monitoring of Infection Control Programs.
  • Participates in developing, implementing and monitoring of Performance Improvement Programs.
  • Coordinates Clinical Strategic Planning for Corporate and Regions.
  • Monitor the Utilization Review and Utilization Management program.
  • Participates in Clinical Pharmacy Program reviews and updates.
  • Provides input to Corporate and facility budgets and P&L's.
  • Develops and provides Clinician and nursing training.
  • Assists with Facility Focused Assessment  and Internal Audits
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.  Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the US or in the District of Columbia. Maintains a current copyof license on file at the facility at all times.
  • Certified to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in a State,Territory, or Commonwealth of the US or in the District of Columbia. Possess a master's degree or higher from a program accredited by the NLNAC or CCNE, and maintains full and current certification as a nurse practitioner from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body.
  • Seven (7) years of management experience with a strong background of progressive clinical knowledge is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a complex nursing section with diverse programs.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Correctional experience preferred
  • Regular overnight travel is required.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
