Job Description:

Summary: 

The Mental Health Therapist uses a standard evidence based cognitive behavioral therapy curriculum to provide group facilitation of discussions, education, and role playing strategies for changing criminal and addictive thought patterns and behavior.  Treatment modules use a positive peer community setting where the Mental Health Therapist provides structure and direction for the resident community to successfully learn and live out their treatment on a day-to-day basis. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Must be registered with Department of Regulatory Agency (DORA) and working on obtaining license in one of the following Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) through the State of Colorado.
  • One (1) year experience in a mental health setting.

Necessary Special Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must successfully pass a pre employment background check and urinalysis.
  • Must successfully pass and maintain basis First Aid, CPR and Pressure Point Control Tactics (PPCT).  Must be able to bend at knees and raise self with no assistance.
