Summary

Manages and evaluates all mental health service program activities based on company goals, objectives, and philosophy according to industry standards and contractual obligations.  Implements all contractually required services. Manages department budget and actively seeks to improve the operational efficiencies of the facility mental health service program. This position plans, organizes and coordinates the deliverty of mental health services within the facility.

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or Counseling.
  • Must be registered with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agency and fully licensed in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist.  Position requires on-call responsibilities during non-working hours.
  • Possesses and maintains an active mental health license in Colorado
  • Two years post-licensure experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Five (5) years of related work experience in a correctional/detention setting preferred.
  • Three (3) years administrative/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experienced in developing clinical formulations, including, but not limited to, mental health screening, assessment, diagnoses, treatment planning, and service delivery (clinical experience) with most or all the population served
  • Evidence of this may include a passing score on a national test such as, for example, the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE), (if an LPC)
  • Must be mature, flexible, intellectually alert, possess good decision making skills, able to command the respect and confidence of inmate residents and staff and philosophically committed to the objectives of the facility.
