Job Description
The Division of Administrative Services, Finance Bureau, is seeking to hire an Accounting Technician to prepare and process a variety of accounting documents and transactions, and maintain accounts. Accounting activities may include accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, revenues, taxes, audit research, and other related accounting tasks.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:  

  • be detail oriented
  • be willing to learn and adapt to new ways of performing duties
  • be self motivated
  • have at least 1 year of accounting experience and/or office/clerical experience in a professional office setting
  • have knowledge of financial reporting and documentation
  • have an understanding of bookkeeping procedures
  • have the ability to support professional staff, such as accountants, budget officers, managers, etc.
  • have the ability to process adjustments to data and accounts

The working hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Hourly rate is $13.52.
