Job Description:

The Utah Courts have an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in court management. The Juvenile Court Administrator, reporting to the State Court Administrator, and serving as part of the Administrator’s senior management team, provides vision and leadership in the management and operation of the statewide Juvenile Court System. 


The Juvenile Court Administrator is responsible for the administrative and management duties in directing the overall non-judicial activities of the statewide juvenile court. This includes: serving as part of the State Court Administrator's management team, working with the Board of Juvenile Court Judges, supervising trial court executives located throughout the state, supervising the juvenile court administrative team, overseeing statewide juvenile court policies and procedures, ensuring implementation of system wide changes, working with stakeholders throughout the juvenile justice system, and other projects or duties as assigned.

Other Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and eight years of related management experience; or a Graduate degree in Judicial or Public Administration, Law or closely related field with at least six years of management experience. Knowledge of court procedures, child welfare and delinquency, case management, evidence based practices, accounting/budgeting procedures, information technology, contract negotiation/administration and legislative processes is necessary. The successful candidate should demonstrate inclusive communication and the ability to build consensus among judges, juvenile court staff, and stakeholders.
