Gateway Foundation is a national, non-profit organization committed to serving individuals who suffer from substance use and mental health disorders. Gateway provides treatment services and operates programs across nine states serving over 30,000 individuals a year. 

 

We are seeking an experienced Leader to oversee the facility management, administrative operations and treatment programs in a community corrections residential corrections facility.  This individual will be responsible for:

 

 

  • Establishing and executing policies and procedures to maintain a therapeutic treatment environment. Promoting continuous improvement in methods of delivery of treatment and services.
  • Managing an overall team of 200 members and being in charge of an operating budget of $10M +.
  • Planning and directing the effective management of quality clinical services for a residential community corrections treatment program. Partnering with the funder’s jurisdiction and work as a unified team.
  • Serving as leader to assigned directors, managers and staff and promoting commitment to organization philosophy and mission and continuous professional growth and development.
  • Developing program budget projections; monitoring and approving expenditures; and initiating corrective actions to resolve variances.  Reviewing financial reports including contract utilization to ensure accuracy and budgetary and contractual compliance.
  • Developing contingency plans to respond to risks and direct the course of action to be taken in the event of an emergency.
  • Serving as professional resource to subordinates in resolving clinical treatment, operational, or administrative problems. Investigating any issues and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintaining and fostering positive public relations by attending local meetings and participating in community functions. 
  • Keeping current regarding trends and developments in management techniques and theories, administration and planning of substance abuse treatment and prevention programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Qualifications:

This role reports to the Corrections Division President. The ideal candidate will possess:

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or substance abuse counseling or a related field. 5-7 years of experience of counseling treatment practices and philosophies.
  2. Current certification or qualification as an alcohol, drug or substance abuse counselor in State of employment.
  3. High-level of interpersonal & communication skills as well as analytical & critical thinking abilities.
