An employee in this class is responsible for supervising the preparation of meals in the County Jail. Duties include supervising and instructing assigned staff and inmates assigned to kitchen duty, planning and preparing balanced meals, maintaining records and inventory. An employee in this class must be willing to work under security or lock-up conditions with inmates. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.
