Electronic Monitoring/GPS

Manage the technology used by probation and parole officers to monitor and track high risk offenders in the community including radio transmission monitors, global positioning satellite monitors, and transdermal alcohol sensors. Their duties include installing and removing the electronic equipment, some of which is done in the offender’s home; developing the individual software program for each offender establishing the allowable parameters of their movement; trouble shooting any problems that may occur; preparing summary reports for officers; preparing violation reports for officers and the court; maintaining equipment inventory; and serving as a liaison with the equipment vendors.
