Paralegal

May work in different capacities in jails and prisons including working at the direction of the facility’s general counsel to assist with pending litigation, gathering of materials and records held by the facility, preparing for trials, and/or other support work. Paralegals may also be assigned to work with the inmates’ law library services assisting pre-trial inmates in conducting their research to prepare for their trials, and/or assisting sentenced inmates research for their appeals.
