Psychologist

Works under the supervision of the facility’s medical director to provide services directly to detainees and inmates to address their mental illness or mental retardation and the effect of incarceration of their conditions. Psychologists work in a clinical and/or in group settings to diagnosis, develop treatment plans, deliver services, collaborate with mental health counselors, psychiatrists, social workers, and security and program staff to assure that patients’ behaviors are managed in appropriate means, consistent with community standards.
