Superintendent/Administrator

Provides the leadership for the facility’s daily operations, including: fiscal and human resources management, security, detainee classification, community and political liaison, provision of medical, mental health and dental services, and media relations. The administrator/superintendent updates the organization’s mission and vision, assures accountability of operations, and compliance with standards. Important skills for these positions include: strategic planning, managing a diverse workforce, technological savvy, conflict management and resolution, labor relations, and in-depth knowledge of jail operations.
