Volunteer and Intern Coordinator

Assesses the need; prepares position descriptions; recruits; places; trains; monitors; evaluates; mentors and works to retain volunteers and interns for a correctional agency. This position is also responsible for developing and maintaining volunteer and intern policies, procedures and standards; maintaining a relationship with colleges and universities; planning volunteer and intern recognition and appreciation activities; training staff regarding how to appropriately utilize the assistance of volunteers and interns.
